WARRIORS BEHIND
THE WARRIORS
OUR MISSION
Her Warrior Heart is a Christ centered retreat dedicated to honor and empower the selfless women who stand as pillars of strength beside our veterans, contractors and first responders. Through education, meaningful activities, and transformative workshops, we create a nurturing environment that fosters personal growth and connection. Our retreats provide a place where these courageous women can share their stories, gain valuable skills and build a supportive community of like-minded women. Together we embrace resilience, forge bonds and provide the tools for healing, strengthening both ourselves and the warriors we care for.
Are you the wife or significant other of a veteran, contractor, or first responder? Are you interested in attending a retreat?

KRYSTAL’S STORY
On September 12th, 2012, our lives changed forever when my husband Mark Oz Geist was severely injured while protecting the CIA annex in Benghazi from a terror attack that killed Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty. Our family struggled financially, physically and emotionally but my faith and hope in God never wavered and because of His strength I was able to be that rock and that foundation that my husband and family needed to get us through. My husband was not only physically wounded but he was also suffering from unseen injuries, he came home different, changed. I had to learn to love this new man, and I vowed to get him (us) through this next battle. Giving up is not an option I told myself. I fought for him; I fought for my children, and I fought for our future. Many times, in a private place I broke down and cried not wanting my family to see, I had to be strong. With God I overcame and we made it through the fire.

Help Us Support Military and First Responder Spouses
Krystal, and the women like her, are the unsung heroes—sacrificing their own emotional well-being to manage life’s difficulties quietly, often feeling ashamed to voice their struggles. These deeply committed partners shoulder a weight that often compounds their own sense of stress and isolation, leaving them unseen and in need of a loving space to heal and connect. To address this need, "Her Warrior Heart" will host a healing retreat for the wives of military personnel and first responders, on May 23-27, 2025 at the Flying Horse Resort and Club in Colorado Springs, where these women will receive professional care, tools for personal healing, and tips on thriving—even in the midst of their loved one’s trauma. We are asking for your generous support to make this possible.
